Tell Us What You Cannot Eat.

Allergies at Fresche. Nut, dairy, soy, gluten. We build around allergies every single day, one order at a time, and nobody at the counter is going to sigh at you.

Every order is built one at a time. That is the whole trick.

Allergy problems at food counters usually come from batches: something was mixed this morning and nobody can tell you exactly what went in it. We do not have that problem, because nothing here is batched. Your bowl, smoothie, shake or juice is assembled when you order it, from ingredients we can name out loud.

That means we can swap the base, the juice, the milk, the protein and every single topping. Say what you are avoiding, and the crew builds around it. For guests with severe allergies, staff will change gloves and use a clean blender on request.

The big four, straight answers

Nuts. Nut butters and nut toppings come off or swap on any order. Our peanut butter is made in house and our almond and pecan butters are natural, single ingredient butters, so we know exactly what is in them, and our kitchen does handle nuts daily. Say it is an allergy when you order and the crew treats it that way.

Dairy. We use coconut milk and almond milk, never dairy milk. The only dairy on the entire menu is in the whey proteins on the add in board, and every one of them swaps for a pea protein at the same price.

Gluten. There is no gluten in our kitchen. Every item we serve is gluten free, granola included, at both shops and on the truck, so a gluten allergy needs no special order here. The full details live on the gluten free page.

Soy. Our blends are fruit, juice and plant milk, not soy based. If soy is on your list, tell us at the counter and we will read labels with you on anything you are unsure about, including proteins and granola, batch by batch.

One honest caveat, because your health is not a marketing page.

We are not a dedicated allergen free facility. Nuts and dairy are handled in the same kitchen. Gloves change and blenders get cleaned on request, and for most guests that is plenty. If cross contact is a serious medical risk for you, call us first at 480-654-5959 in Gilbert or 480-730-3557 in Tempe, and we will talk through your situation before you order.

Frequently Asked

Can Genuine Fresche work around my food allergy?

Yes. Tell us what you are avoiding and we will build around it. We handle nut, dairy, soy and gluten requests every day, and because every order is blended individually, we can swap the base, the juice, the milk, the protein and every topping.

Can I get a bowl with no nuts?

Yes. Granola, nut butters and nut toppings all come off or swap on request. Tell us it is an allergy rather than a preference so the crew treats it accordingly. Our kitchen does handle nuts daily, so severe airborne or cross contact allergies should read the answer below about shared equipment.

Do you have dairy free options?

Most of the menu is already dairy free. We use coconut milk and almond milk rather than dairy milk, and the only dairy anywhere on the menu is in the whey proteins on the add in board, which swap for a pea protein at the same price.

How do you handle cross contact for severe allergies?

Tell us when you order and our staff will change gloves and use a clean blender. We should be straight with you: we are not a dedicated allergen free facility, and our kitchen handles nuts and dairy in the same space. Gluten is the one thing you do not have to worry about here, because we do not keep it in the building at all. If shared equipment is a serious risk for you, call the shop first and we will talk through your specific situation honestly.

Are your smoothies and juices safe for gluten and dairy allergies?

Our smoothies contain no gluten or dairy ingredients, our juices are squeezed produce and nothing else, and our ReFreschers are fruit with a clean label energy syrup that has no gluten or dairy in it. Everything we serve is gluten free, so the only add in to watch is whey protein, which contains dairy and swaps for a pea protein at the same price.

Can you cater an event where guests have allergies?

Yes, and it is one of the reasons event planners book the truck. Orders are built one at a time at the window, so each guest's allergy gets handled individually instead of with a labeled tray. Mention known allergies when booking at 602-753-6642 and the crew comes prepared.
